Go Eco Store support Earth Day 2010 at Deepdale, North Norfolk

The environment is an important part of everyone's everyday life, so Go Eco Store showed how we can all slowly reduce our impact on the environment by exhibited their range of products at the Earth Day Eco Exhibition at Deepdale on 22nd April 2010.

The range of exhibitors covered many environmentally friendly items including solar panels, wood chip boiler, LED lights, ground source heat pump, and wind turbines and also there was plenty of advice about how to green up your home or more about organic produce.

Go Eco Store’s range of products exhibited included recycled glasses, natural handmade soap, LED light bulbs, kitchen compost bins, bamboo towels, recycled bags, eco gifts, organic skin care products and many other eco friendly products. As part of the promotion we ran a draw for a complete set of Cinderella natural cleaning products which are made from plant extracts, biodegrade in 28 days, are concentrated and provide good quality cleaning power. The winner of this competition was Mrs Rogers from Norwich who was absolutely delighted with her set of Cinderella products which included coconut bathroom cleaner, mint household cleaner and pineapple floor cleaner.

Also at the exhibition there was a Scrap Heap Art Challenge for five local artists where they had to create a sculpture or art piece from a pile of scrap items. This was won by Karen Steadman with her impression of a man on holiday called Colin; Karen is currently completing a three year art course at Norwich University of Art and her work can be found at www.artoftheordinary.co.uk .

Go Eco Store started because the staff wanted to improve their lifestyle to be more Eco friendly and started to look at what was available in the high street. We struggled to find many suitable products so investigated the “independent” market. It became obvious that there were a great number of products available but it was difficult to tell which ones offered real value for money. So with this in mind we felt that there would also be many other people trying to do the same thing, and so Go Eco Store was born …..

Go Eco Store is trying to help everyone to support their Eco lifestyle by offering a range of products which are not only better for our planet but also kinder on your pocket. We have spent a great deal of time evaluating many products that are eco friendly and have brought together a selection of products that in our opinion offer high quality and great value for money. We assessed the eco qualities of each item, evaluated their performance and then compared the cost of using these items to similar products available in the high street.
