Our latest design aiming to allow you to replace 50w Halogen lamps WITHOUT compromising on the light output. With around 335 lumens of light output and a 30° lens you get a powerful yet usable light - for reference a standard halogen 50w GU10 provide around 350 lumens of light!
To reliably operate at these power levels, we have had the make the body of the lamp longer than a standard halogen though if you are using then in ceiling downlighters this is not a problem as they fit both open backed and firerated fittings - the diameter is exactly the same as a standard halogen lamp at 50mm.
You will see many low cost GU10 LED's however what you can't see is the quality of the internal components. Possible the most important thing are the components used internally to drive the LED - if cheap Chinese made capacitors are used then the life of the product will be compromised and could be measured in as few as 5000 hours - we only use high quality Japanese capacitors for long term reliability which means we can offer a 3 YEAR WARRANTY.
We know these lamps look expensive but as with so many things you get what you pay for - with MAXILUX ULTRA you get performance and reliability which is particularly important when the lamps are in awkward places and the bulbs are difficult to change.
ULTRA LED lamps contain no mercury and are fully CE and RoHS compliant. Add to this the fantastic energy savings and LED light bulbs are the right way to go.
